Aerith Gainsborough Dissidia Moveset Profile

Bio:

Aerith is the last of the Cetra, a being who holds a deep connection with the Earth and able to hear its “voice”. Because of this, the Shinra Electric Power Company has hunted her down all of her life to use her and experiment on her. She only barely managed to escape them once before, and that was at the cost of her mother, the last full-blodded Cetra. When she meets Cloud in the Midgar slums, her destiny becomes clear. She plays a pivotal role in stopping Sephiroth, even after her death by his hands.

Fighting Style: Planet's Guardian

Aerith’s movelist mostly consists of ways to boost her Brave and protect herself. She only has one offensive move under both Brave and HP categories. However, where she really shines is in her ability to boost her Assist Bar freely allowing her to call her Assist in to attack for her.

Outfits:

Default - Aerith’s most iconic outfit - A dark, red blazer, a pink, button-down dress, metal bracelets, brown boots, a neck ribbon, and a pink ribbon in her hair. (Based on her outfit in the original FFVII)

Alternate 1 – Cetra’s Grace – Aerith wears a pink bandeau dress with silver linings and a split along the front, a cropped, shoulder-less jacket with puffed sleeves, as well as pink and silver pointed high-heeled boots. Her hair ribbon is pink with blue-green polka dots, and is a different shape and knot from the ribbons in previous outfits. (Based on her Amano artwork)

Alternate 2 – Flower in the Slums – Aerith wears a blue and white thigh-length dress over a red camisole, and white wedge sandals with pink straps. The dress is adorned by blue lace bows at the bust and waist, while a small corsage of flowers lines the left shoulder strap. Her hair ribbon is the same shape as her original ribbon, but is a more reddish hue of pink. (Based on her outfit in Crisis Core)

DLC Alternate - Bloom in a Radiant Garden - Aerith wears a red and white sleeveless, button-up sundress over a pink skirt with a white underskirt, and brown boots. (Based on her appearance in Kingdom Hearts 2)

Character Title: Flower Girl
Manikin Name - Imaginary Flower Girl

Short – Aerith puts the flower away in her basket and summons her pole, the basket disappearing in a flash of light.

Long – Aerith walks on scene with a flower in hand, offering it to her opponent, cocking her head and smiling.

Moveset

Brave Attacks

Ground

Breath of Earth – Aerith casts a spell that sends energy in to the ground. Stage Bravery is increased by 100% of Aerith’s base Brave.

Air

Healing Wind – Aerith casts a spell that sends a healing wind through the area. This move boosts the Brave of herself and her opponent by 200% of their base Brave.

Both Ground and Air

Cure – Aerith casts a spell on herself that boosts her Brave without damaging the opponent. The amount is equal to 60% of Base Bravery. Fast with little lag.

Cura – Aerith casts a spell on herself that boosts her Brave without damaging the opponent. The amount is equal to 90% of Base Bravery. A bit of starting and ending lag

Curaga – Aerith casts a spell on herself that boosts her Brave without damaging the opponent. The amount is equal to 125% of Base Bravery. Long casting time.

Esuna – Aerith casts a spell on herself that instantly resets her Brave to base if it is Critical or in Break. Slight start up lag

Seal Evil – Aerith conjures a field of sealing magic. If the foe is caught in it, they are left defenseless. Short range, but good tracking. Can be blocked. If this attack is used after the opponent is still stunned from an Assist Combo, Aerith's Assist Bar will remain unusable until the effect of the attack wears off.

Pulse of Life – Aerith casts a spell that breathes life into her fallen partner. Aerith’s Assist Bar is instantly unlocked. Slight starting lag.

Hiyah! – Aerith leaps forward and swings her staff overhead. If blocked, the opponent is staggered. Downward Wall Rush

HP Attacks

Both Ground and Air

Fury Brand – Aerith raises her arms into the air gathering energy from the planet, charging her Assist Bar. Hold Square to charge.

Planet Protector – Aerith holds her staff in front of her, cloaking herself and her Assist in protective magic. For 5 seconds, both her and her Assist are immune to damage and knockback. If the opponent lands an HP attack while she’s under the effects of this attack, the opponent’s Brave is still reset. Large ending lag.

Holy – Aerith kneels and begins to pray, summoning glowing pearls to surround her. If successful, she casts powerful ancient magic to attack the opponent. Unavoidable and nearly unblockable. Mid Priority block effect

Chase Animations

Brave Forward – Aerith thrusts forward with her pole

Brave Upward – Aerith swings upward with her pole

Brave Downward – Aerith thrusts downward with her pole

HP – Aerith charges the tip of her pole with magic, then swings

EX Mode: Voice of the Planet

Aerith gains an ethereal glow as wisps of Lifestream float all around her. In addition to Regen, Aerith gains the following bonuses

Great Gospel – Aerith’s Assist is completely immune to damage. Aerith’s Brave is also under the effect of Bravery Regen

Assist Burst – Aerith can perform her EX Burst even if her Assist is the one who dealt HP damage.

EX Burst: To the Promised Land

Aerith leaps and hits her opponent with her pole, shattering the screen. She clasps her hands together and begins to pray. Press the buttons as they appear on screen to damage the opponent. When the burst is finished, she looks up as the Lifestream emerges from the ground to attack the opponent and inflict the HP damage. (This comes from her infamous death scene and the Lifestream emerging from the planet to push back Meteor)

Victory Animation:

Aerith dusts off her dress, then her arm, straightens her hair, and then places her hand on her chest and sighs.

Defeat Animation:

Aerith stumbles and hunches over, hurt and out of breath.
And now one for Aerith! Yay!
Aerith's playstyle is more defensive, relying heavily on Assists to attack for her. She's also able to boost her own Brave and even the Stage's Brave quite freely. She'd probably be at a disadvantage if Summons were disabled since she's also rather dependent on them as well. Most of her moves from from her Limit Breaks. The Cure and Esuna are Materia. I also used Holy as one of her moves since that's one of the moves her Assist uses.
Her EX mode uses her final Limit Break as a bonus.
Don't underestimate this flower girl. She's a lover, not a fighter, which is why every Aerith action Figure comes packaged with an Assist! -bad reference-
